How it Works

It’s really quite simple; we need your old laptops, tablets and smart phones to help the 11 million people in the UK get online, of which 500,000 are school children!

By donating your equipment you will help bridge the digital, educational, social and financial divide that having a computer brings to each and every one of us.

You will also help save the planet and give your old equipment a new life!

You can tell us where you would like old equipment to go but we have 3 main areas we are keen to help:

  • www.mindthegap.org.uk a programme aimed at getting the 500,000 school children that don’t have a computer at home online to help with their learning and we are sure their families too.
  • UK Charities committed to helping people learn how to use computers for the first time to which there are 11 million people in the UK lacking the skills and equipment they need to be a part of our ever growing digital community.
  • Individuals who are currently not online and that are unable to purchase new equipment

    • Some of us have been lucky enough to have owned a computer and if so, you probably have a computer in the house or at work that isn’t being used anymore.


    Why is it still sitting there doing nothing?
    Worried about old files you may need?





    We will take care of any data remaining on the laptop, using a licensed product from Blancco approved by CESG (the UK Governments National Technical Authority for Information Assurance and Data) that deletes all the information that was on your hard drive and we will even send you a certificate stating that.

    In the unlikely event that we are unable to erase all the data we will remove it from the device and crush it rendering it and any information completely useless and we will send a photograph to prove it.

    Individual Donations:

    As an individual, all you need to do is fill out a contact form. We will send you a bag that you can seal. We will then arrange collection of your old laptop or tablet with our secure courier network partner DPD.     Group Donations/ Group Events:

    Company Donations:

    If you are a company looking to get involved then simply register through our online portal, then once we have all your details you can go online and arrange a collection. We will give you a full asset management report and full certification of data erasure.

    If you need a little more than that and perhaps on site data erasure or asset removal, then please get in touch and we can discuss your specific requirements.

    When using ReuseMyPC to manage your end of life equipment, we would like you to be involved in our PR and CSR activities, promoting not just what we do but also your business to the UK as a proud supplier and a business that has a corporate and social responsibility to its local and national community.

    Less than 1% of the product we process currently goes to landfill and we are working towards a zero landfill process and policy so watch this space!.

    We focus on being green; ensuring that we can continue to supply free and affordable recycled IT equipment to schools, charities, community projects and people throughout the UK
